Tina was a lovely German Sheperd. We often called her Tina Turner. She was given to us by a friend who told us Tina had been left tied up outside while the owner decided to go on holiday so they took her in. We had her for 10 good years and like to think we did the right thing by taking her in. She was very frightened of adult company for awhile but she was well loved and got on well with my kids too.

We had to have her put down due to very ill health. The vets said they couldnt help. She became ill very quickly and very unresponsive too. We hated seeing her like that as just a shell of her bouncy self, all this happened over about 3 days.
She loved winter when the kids made snowballs and threw them in the air as she would jump up, catch them and eat them. It was so funny to watch.
She did have a habit of digging holes, especially in summer so she could sit in them.
She also hated bee's she would see them chase or catch them(or attempt to) and eat them too.
She loved my daughter to blow bubbles because she would jump up for them and eat them aswell.
She has such a bushy tail although she was short haired, I used to say she was doing the " wiggy wiggy " when she saw us because she wagged her tail so fast...As you can tell Tina loved life..
She was a character. She has been gone now for 2 years. She was a star.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and they are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are so happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together each day, but then the day comes when one suddenly stops and peers into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
YOU have been spotted, and when you finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved soft head, and you finally get to look once again into the loving eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.
